Wow, I haven't used this junk in years.

Look at my age, and my interests to the right. Dang, I must've changed a crapload. Who still uses Xanga anyway??

CONTEST

OKAY.... You guys better be ready because for the first time in Xanga history, I'm going to make a contest. And I'm not even kidding.

What is the question you ask? Easy:

"Darren and his dead xanga... it's called RuroniKnshn. What is it abbreviated from? What's his e-mail address? And have you added his Facebook (which used to advertise this Xanga blog)? (Adding me to friends gives you extra kudos)"

There will be FIVE prizes, each descending in rank from better to worse obviously. (I shouldn't have put "worse," it makes the last prize look bad. If you don't get one, that's too bad. You're going to have to beg to the ones who won before you to tell you what the prizes were.

How do you win? The first person to comment gets the Grand Prize, the second gets the 2nd prize, and so on. Simple.

GOOD LUCK.

Eligibility Rules:

1. You must actually know who Darren is.
2. You must be able to physically meet him to claim your prize.
3. Your comments must be approved before you can claim that you are a winner. (Winners and approvals will be posted in the next entry, a week from now.)
4. You must comment one week after the entry date, at the latest.
5. You have 2 tries - in other words, you may post up to two times. I will select the comment that I think is the most correct. Your best comment will then be compared against the best comments of others.
6. Must like sweet food that is usually eaten between breakfast and lunch, lunch and dinner, dinner and bedtime, or midnight.

I think I'm actually doing all right in my college apps.

And I think I'm going to the dunes for a retreat.

(What Darren means is he doesn't have an idea where he's going)

Built (or assembled) my first computer.

Call me a baby. "Aw... how cute! Darren built his very first computer!"

"Yeah, goo goo ga ga. I chose ATX formfactor for my motherboard, case and PSU... case was actually mid-tower so I felt kinda sorry for such a cramped space. PCI-e 16x card... I'm unsure about the cooling in that. It's all the way in the bottom too so I guess the cool air there can make it nice and cozy. As far as the air ventilation goes, it's actually nice. Nice fresh air comes from the front and gets thrown out the back of the PC. Works pretty well in my opnion. The lights look great on the inside too. My mobo is great: MSI K9A Platinum... a well-known brand. Allows for 2 pairs of Dual-Channel RAM sticks... standard one being DDR2 800mhz. Oh yeah, and at first I thought my HDD was defective till I realized I had to download SP2 for my OS because otherwise it only supports up to 127GB of space. Freaky, considering I purchased a 320GB 16mb cache one. Seagate works reallll nice. As far as I'm concerned, everything works just fine after a series of trial and errors... most I hope I do not ever encounter again. Monitor is so crisp you can't even see a single pixel (depends on the game hahaha). I chose a 600W power supply and I think that is the only warm thing in my PC. Temps for CPU goes around 42 C idle and higher if under load. Overall PC can go up to 48 C idle but I still have to check it out. It's summertime and I'm operating the computer upstairs. Yeah, great heat. Whoo.... Dang. Anyway, I'm able to play Guild Wars at max settings at around 60 FPS. That's freaking great. Now I'm testing BF2 and CSS. Oh man, can't wait. All this are blessings from God. My Savior, my Redeemer, My Sanctifier. I am only on Earth because that was his will. And I'm so thankful. Thank you God!"

These are my computer internals when I was 98% done. As you probably can see, I was missing some front panel plugs... they weren't plugged in yet. Plus the cabling kinda sux... I think that's one of the reason why my PC is kinda hot... The cabling is maybe blocking some of the air ventilation... crap... NOO.

By now I think you might've changed your opinion on what "Darren's first built computer" means... haha.
